This federal Project Grant award of $366,000.00 from the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) Promotion of the Humanities Research program (CFDA 45.161) supports long-term research fellowships at the National Humanities Center. The award will fund three 9-month fellowships from 2022-2025 to enable humanities scholars to conduct significant research projects across various disciplines. These fellowships allow scholars to generate new knowledge and further the understanding of cultural expression, social interaction, and human thought. The National Humanities Center, an independent institute for advanced study in the humanities, will oversee the implementation of this award, which aims to convene leading scholars and make their insights available both within and outside of academia.
