The University of Colorado-Denver received a $663,428 Project Grant from the National Cancer Institute (CFDA 93.393 Cancer Cause and Prevention Research) to evaluate the comparative effectiveness of two implementation strategy bundles for delivering the MY OWN HEALTH REPORT (MOHR) intervention. MOHR is a web-based tool that helps primary care patients identify and address multiple cancer risk factors, such as physical inactivity and poor diet.
The two implementation strategies being tested are: 1) "Reminder-Resource Message (R2 Message)," which involves automated electronic text/email reminders and resource linkages, and 2) "R2 Navigation," where clinic staff provide personalized reminders and resource connections. The study will enroll 1,400 patients across 7 clinics to assess the multi-level outcomes, including effectiveness, implementation, and practice value. The University of Colorado-Denver is collaborating with Kaiser Permanente as a sub-awardee on this project.
