The National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) awarded a $128,332 Project Grant under the Promotion of the Humanities Division of Preservation and Access program (CFDA 45.149) to Wichita State University to conduct the "Stories of Language, Communication, and the COVID-19 Pandemic in Kansas Latinx Communities" project. The objectives are to: (A) create and archive a collection of video-recorded pandemic oral histories from Spanish speakers and speakers of Latin American indigenous languages in Kansas, (B) produce short videos of those stories for public dissemination, and (C) curate the collection for public, educational, and research purposes.
