This Project Grant award from the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) under the Mental Health Research Grants program (CFDA 93.242) will provide $183,663 over the 4-year period from September 1, 2024 to August 31, 2028 to The General Hospital Corporation, doing business as Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), to conduct research on the genetic architecture of neuropsychiatric disorders. The project aims to develop an integrative approach to analyzing the full spectrum of human genetic variation, including common, rare, and structural variants, across autism spectrum disorder, epilepsy, and schizophrenia. This research is expected to uncover new gene associations and fill gaps in understanding the shared and distinct genetic underpinnings of these complex neurological conditions. The award will support specialized training for the principal investigator in cross-disorder genetics, genetic association methods, and integrative frameworks to model the complete genetic architecture of neuropsychiatric phenotypes.
