PURPOSE: FUNDING PROVIDES FOR OPERATING EXPENSES THAT OCCUR WITH THE RUNNING OF A MAJOR TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM. ACTIVITIES TO BE PERFORMED: TRANSIT OPERATION COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH SERVICING ALL CTA BUS AND RAIL ROUTES ON A DAILY BASIS. MAINTENANCE AND ADMINISTRATION SUPPORT WORK NECESSARY TO MAINTAIN AND RESPOND TO SERVICE NEEDS AS MAY BE NECESSARY.
