This Project Grant award of $600,000 in Year 1 and $500,000 in Year 2 (total $1,100,000) from the Health Resources and Services Administration's (HRSA) Community Health Centers program (CFDA 93.224) supports Lamoille Health Partners, Inc., a federally qualified health center (FQHC), in expanding behavioral health services for the rural population of Lamoille County, Vermont.
The funding will enable Lamoille Health Partners to add 5 full-time equivalent (FTE) mental health and substance use disorder providers, including 2 psychotherapists for mental health, 2 psychotherapists for substance use disorder, and 1 psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner. This expanded clinical capacity is expected to allow Lamoille Health Partners to serve an additional 333 patients annually, resulting in 4,000 mental health and substance use disorder encounters per year. Of these new patients, 133 will be individuals new to the health center. The grant will also support the establishment of a new service site in Cambridge, Vermont.
