This Project Grant award of $600,000 from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) under the Community Health Centers (CFDA 93.224) program aims to expand behavioral health access points and services for Full Circle Health, Inc., a non-profit healthcare organization in Boise, Idaho. The funding will be used to:
Hire two new associate-level clinicians (e.g., LMSWs or AMFTs) to integrate behavioral health services within the organization's primary care program, including providing crisis interventions and specialized training.
Expand the organization's substance use disorder (SUD) treatment services, including hiring an addiction medicine fellow to lead an "ED Bridge" program for patients with opioid use disorder, and adding group therapy options.
Grow the organization's psychology residency program by recruiting two additional interns and a postdoc to provide expanded primary care psychology and individual therapy services across the organization's nine-clinic system.
These efforts are intended to address significant mental health and substance use treatment needs in the organization's service area of Ada and Canyon counties in Idaho, which have high rates of anxiety, depression, drug overdoses, and limited access to care.
