The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) has awarded Muskingum Valley Health Centers (MVHC), a non-profit Federally Qualified Health Center, a $600,000 Project Grant under the Community Health Centers program (CFDA 93.224). This funding will support MVHC's expansion of mental health and substance use disorder services at their facilities in Zanesville, Ohio.
Specifically, the grant will enable MVHC to add a psychiatrist, nurse practitioner, RN nurse navigator, four LPNs, and two licensed social workers dedicated to behavioral health and addiction services. This staffing expansion is intended to increase access to vital mental health and substance use treatment in the underserved Muskingum County community. The award period is from September 1, 2024, through August 31, 2026.
