The Cumberland Family Medical Center, Inc. (CFMC), a non-profit Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), has been awarded a $500,000 Project Grant from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) Community Health Centers program (CFDA 93.224). The grant funding will allow CFMC to expand pediatric services and access to affordable, high-quality primary and behavioral healthcare for underserved children in Barren County, Kentucky. Specifically, the grant will support hiring additional licensed pediatric and mental health providers, as well as case management and support staff, to extend clinic hours by one hour per day and add Saturday hours. This will increase access to integrated primary care, behavioral health, and child wellness services by 15 hours per week at CFMC's Glasgow Pediatric Healthcare Healthy Kids Clinic, the only FQHC or FQHC look-alike in the largely rural county. The grant period runs from December 1, 2024 through November 30, 2026.
