The Addiction Recovery Coalition of New Hampshire (ARCNH) received a $308,000 Project Grant award from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) under the Congressional Directives program (CFDA 93.493). The award will fund the ARCNH's Recovery Support Expansion program, which aims to meet the critical need for enhanced recovery support services in New Hampshire, ultimately reducing overdose deaths, promoting sustained recovery, and improving overall community wellness. The program will serve at least 250 individuals with substance use disorders and/or co-occurring mental health disorders in the greater Souhegan Valley region through one-on-one peer support, group sessions, and community events. ARCNH will leverage its existing experience as a recovery community organization, building on its success in serving over 1,700 participants annually. The project will be implemented by a team of 3.6 full-time equivalent program staff, with the goal of expanding access to certified recovery support workers and organizing substance-free, family-friendly networking activities to help participants build their recovery community and reduce isolation. The award period is from Sep 30, 2024 to Sep 29, 2025.
