PURPOSE: PROVIDE FAIR HOUSING EDUCATION AND RELATED SERVICES AND MATERIALS TO PEOPLE WITHIN ALL FEDERALLY PROTECTED CLASSES, INCLUDING UNDERSERVED POPULATIONS AS DEFINED IN THE NOFO AND PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES, AS WELL AS MEMBERS OF THE HOUSING INDUSTRY ESPECIALLY IN THE AREAS OF RENTALS, HOMEOWNERSHIP, AND FINANCING; ACTIVITIES TO BE PERFORMED: CTIVITIES TO BE PERFORMED PURSUANT TO THIS 12-MONTH PROPOSAL FHCWM, IN AT LEAST 30 JURISDICTIONS, WILL: CONDUCT INTERACTIVE, PRACTICAL FAIR HOUSING TRAINING AND OTHER SYMPOSIA FOR AT LEAST 625 PEOPLE WHO ARE HOMESEEKERS WHO REPRESENT POTENTIAL VICTIMS OF HOUSING DISCRIMINATION OR HAVE A PROFESSIONAL INTEREST IN HOUSING, IN ORDER TO PROMOTE EQUAL HOUSING OPPORTUNITY AND ELIMINATE DISCRIMINATORY HOUSING PRACTICES. THIS WILL INCLUDE: O AT LEAST 5 INTERACTIVE, PRACTICAL TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES FOCUSED ON FAIR HOUSING LAWS AND RESPONSIBILITIES, RISK MANAGEMENT AND BEST PRACTICES FOR THE HOUSING INDUSTRY (INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, REAL ESTATE AGENTS, PROPERTY MANAGERS, LANDLORDS, CONDOMINIUM ASSOCIATIONS, LENDERS, BUILDERS, DEVELOPERS AND LOCAL GOVERNMENT STAFF/OFFICIALS); O AT LEAST 4 COMPREHENSIVE AND INFORMATIVE WORKSHOP/CONFERENCE SESSIONS EACH ADDRESSING A UNIQUE FAIR HOUSING THEME RELEVANT TO THE SERVICE AREA; AND O AT LEAST 8 NEW TRAININGS/WORKSHOPS FOR POTENTIAL VICTIMS OF HOUSING DISCRIMINATION ON FAIR HOUSING RIGHTS, INCLUDING INFORMATION ABOUT FHCWM'S REFERRAL PROCESS. DEVELOP AND DISSEMINATE AT LEAST 4 BROCHURES/MATERIALS, INCLUDING AN ELECTRONIC NEWSLETTER, AND 4 PSAS THAT EDUCATE HOUSING CONSUMERS AND ENHANCE KNOWLEDGE OF THE FAIR HOUSING ACT FOR THE HOUSING INDUSTRY.; EXPECTED OUTCOMES: FHCWM ANTICIPATES ACHIEVING THE FOLLOWING OUTCOMES: 40 INQUIRIES RECEIVED REGARDING HOUSING DISCRIMINATION AND OTHER FAIR HOUSING ISSUES AS A RESULT OF ALL PROGRAM ACTIVITIES; 200 MEMBERS OF THE HOUSING INDUSTRY RECEIVE INTERACTIVE, PRACTICAL FAIR HOUSING TRAINING WITH AT LEAST 80% OF COMPLETED EVALUATIONS INDICATING INCREASES IN KNOWLEDGE/SKILL AND INTENT TO USE INFORMATION LEARNED; 300 COMMUNITY MEMBERS AND HOUSING INDUSTRY REPRESENTATIVES RECEIVE FAIR HOUSING INFORMATION VIA REGIONAL EVENTS WITH AT LEAST 80% OF COMPLETED EVALUATIONS INDICATING INCREASES IN KNOWLEDGE/SKILL AND INTENT TO USE INFORMATION LEARNED; 125 COMMUNITY MEMBERS/MEMBERS OF PROTECTED CLASSES RECEIVE FAIR HOUSING RIGHTS INFORMATION AT LEAST 80% OF COMPLETED EVALUATIONS INDICATING INCREASES IN KNOWLEDGE AND INTENT TO USE INFORMATION LEARNED; 8 MEDIA OUTLETS RECEIVE FAIR HOUSING PSA'S TO INFORM PUBLIC ABOUT FAIR HOUSING LAWS; AT LEAST 3,000 PEOPLE RECEIVE COMMONLY THEMED FAIR HOUSING MATERIALS IN PRINT OR ONLINE; 1,000 PEOPLE AND/OR AGENCIES RECEIVE APPROPRIATE FAIR HOUSING INFORMATION APPLICABLE TO THEIR FAIR HOUSING RIGHTS AND PROTECTIONS; AND 4 STAFF MEMBERS INDICATE INCREASED KNOWLEDGE AND CAPACITY TO AFFIRMATIVELY FURTHER FAIR HOUSING.; INTENDED BENEFICIARIES: INTENDED BENEFICIARIES NOT ONLY INCLUDE ALL OF THE PROTECTED CLASSES BUT ALSO INCLUDE AN EMPHASIS ON MEMBERS OF RACIAL AND ETHNIC MINORITY AND RELIGIOUS GROUPS; IMMIGRANT, LIMITED ENGLISH PROFICIENCY (LEP), RURAL, LGBTQ+, LGBTQ+ YOUTH, HOMELESS OR UNSTABLY HOUSED, NATIVE AMERICAN AND INDIGENOUS POPULATIONS AS WELL AS THOSE FROM LOW-INCOME BACKGROUNDS; SYSTEMATICALLY DENIED FULL ECONOMIC, SOCIAL AND CIVIC OPPORTUNITY; IMPACTED BY THE PANDEMIC; AND EXPERIENCING PERSISTENT POVERTY OR INEQUALITY. FHCWM'S INTENDED BENEFICIARIES FURTHER INCLUDE MEMBERS OF RELIGIOUS GROUPS AND PERSONS WITH PHYSICAL OR MENTAL DISABILITIES, INCLUDING THOSE AT RISK OF INSTITUTIONALIZATION AND THOSE ALREADY LIVING IN OR LEAVING INSTITUTIONALIZED SETTINGS.
