The New Mexico Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Management was awarded a $139,999.84 Project Grant from the Federal Emergency Management Agency under the BRIC: Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities program (CFDA #97.047). The grant will support hazard mitigation activities from March 18, 2022 to March 17, 2025. The BRIC program makes federal funds available to states and territories to implement projects that reduce risks from natural disasters and their impacts on communities. This award will allow the New Mexico Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Management to deliver services and projects focused on strengthening infrastructure and making communities better able to withstand damaging floods, high winds, wildfires and other natural hazards.
