The Department of Commerce's Economic Development Administration awarded a $1 million Project Grant to the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development under the Economic Adjustment Assistance program (CFDA 11.307). The grant will support statewide planning efforts from October 2021 through March 2024 to develop comprehensive economic recovery and resilience plans in line with the Biden Administration's Build Back Better agenda. As part of EDA's American Rescue Plan funding, this investment will lay the groundwork for Minnesota to boost economic development, address climate challenges, and recover from the pandemic by bringing together communities across the state. The Department of Employment and Economic Development's sub-awardee, Deed Careerforce, will assist in executing the statewide planning work funded through this EDA grant.
