The Lehigh Valley Equitable Entrepreneurship Project received a $150,000 project grant award from the Department of Commerce Economic Development Administration under the Economic Development Technical Assistance federal grant program (CFDA 11.303).
The project will scale technical assistance and research efforts to advance relationships with financial institutions and large businesses in order to promote local sourcing, supplier diversity, and capital access for historically disadvantaged entrepreneurs in the Lehigh Valley region of Pennsylvania. Through activities such as outreach, focus groups and research, the project aims to connect underserved entrepreneurs to economic development networks, opportunities, and funding sources in the post-COVID economy. The Office of Research at Lehigh University has been awarded a subgrant to deliver these technical assistance and research services from September 2021 through August 2026 in Fountain Hill, Pennsylvania.
