The grant will fund the installation of renewable energy systems, such as solar panels, to promote energy efficiency improvements and renewable energy development for agricultural producers and rural small businesses in Illinois. The 2-year project aims to assist eligible entities in reducing their energy costs and consumption while expanding the use of renewable energy sources in rural communities. The REAP program provides grants of up to 25% of eligible project costs to support these activities across the United States.
