The National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) awarded a $101,418.00 Promotion of the Humanities Challenge Grant (CFDA 45.130) to the Meeteetse Museum District in Park County, Wyoming. The grant funding will be used to retrofit the museum's roof with a new metal material and install solar panels. These infrastructure improvements are necessary due to major roof leaks caused by heavy snowfall and below average temperatures. The new roof and solar panels will better protect the museum's humanities and natural history collections, reduce energy costs, and improve the museum's long-term financial sustainability. The grant award has an effective date of October 1, 2024 and an ultimate completion date of August 31, 2025.
