APPLICATION PURPOSE: THE PURPOSE OF THIS GRANT IS TO SECURE FUNDS FOR CAPITAL ACTIVITIES TO KEEP NCTDS ASSETS IN A STATE OF GOOD REPAIR REPLACE OR REHABILITATE ASSETS REACHING THE END OF USEFUL LIFE AND FUND OPERATING COSTS FOR PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE (PM) IN ACCORDANCE TO THE TRANSIT ASSET MANAGEMENT (TAM) PLAN.; ACTIVITIES PERFORMED: THIS GRANT WILL FUND THE PLANNING DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES ASSOCIATED WITH NCTD FACILITIES AND RIGHT-OF-WAY. IT WILL ALSO FUND THE REPLACEMENT REBUILD AND OVERHAUL OF RAIL VEHICLES BUS VEHICLES AND NON-REVENUE VEHICLES. ACTIVITIES ALSO INCLUDE THE PROCUREMENT AND REPLACEMENT OF FARE COLLECTION EQUIPMENT INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE AND OTHER EQUIPMENT.
