The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) awarded a $1,980,000 Project Grant under the Congressionally-Identified Projects program (CFDA 11.617) to Wright State University to renovate and expand collaboration and R&D facilities. The project will transform a historic office building in Dayton, Ohio into a 13,700 SF prototyping and research facility, including up to 2,000 SF of dedicated classified space for Department of Defense (DoD) projects. This will enable Wright State to accommodate 22 additional workstations, a modeling and simulation R&D lab, and classified labs to develop and test new technologies. The university is partnering with Infinity Labs and The Entrepreneur's Center to provide prototyping, lab capabilities, and business maturation support. This transformative project is expected to catalyze economic growth and innovation in the Dayton region.
