This $135,115 Project Grant award from the National Science Foundation (NSF) Engineering program (CFDA 47.041) funds a three-year collaborative research project between The Ohio State University and Arizona State University. The project aims to develop robust, universally accessible robotics curricula and lessons that can be used as stand-alone or complementary resources for pre-college engineering education programs. Through partnerships with Engineering for US All (E4USA) and FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology), the project will leverage existing successful programs to create new curricular and co-curricular robotics offerings capable of being scaled nationwide across diverse communities. Key strategies include iterative development, teacher engagement, industry/academic alliances, and sustainability initiatives to democratize access to cutting-edge robotics education and build a diverse, well-equipped future STEM workforce.
