The National Science Foundation (NSF) awarded a $229,906 Project Grant through its Mathematical and Physical Sciences (CFDA 47.049) program to the American Mathematical Society (AMS) to administer a travel grant program. The funding will support the participation of U.S. mathematicians, especially students and early-career researchers, in the Mathematical Congress of the Americas (MCA) conference taking place in Miami, FL from July 21-25, 2025. AMS will leverage its established communication channels and connections within the mathematical community to generate a robust pool of applicants for the travel grants. The goal is to enable broader U.S. representation and collaboration at this quadrennial international gathering of leading mathematicians from across the Americas and the world. The award reflects NSF's objectives to foster international research engagement and cultivate the next generation of mathematical leaders in the United States.
