This $110,242 project grant was awarded by the National Science Foundation (NSF) under the Computer and Information Science and Engineering (CISE, CFDA 47.070) program to William Marsh Rice University. The objective is to develop a principled theory to process and learn from data defined on structured higher-order networks and complexes. Specifically, the university will focus on three types of data structures: product complexes, graph bundles, and the limits of simplicial complexes. The research aims to leverage structural properties of real-world data domains to improve AI capabilities. This work will be integrated into educational activities including course development and broadening participation initiatives. The 5-year project is scheduled to run from April 1, 2024 to March 31, 2029.
