This $142,140 National Science Foundation project grant supports research on quickest threat detection in adversarial sensor networks. Funded under the NSF Engineering program (CFDA 47.041), the University of Georgia Research Foundation will conduct three thrusts of collaborative research from August 2022 to August 2024. The first thrust focuses on detecting threats in a single data stream under adversarial attacks with temporal structure. The second addresses multiple independent data streams. The third examines networks with graphic correlation structure. The investigators will develop a game-theoretic framework to characterize performance limits for quickest threat detection at Nash equilibrium in networked adversarial environments. They will also organize conferences and workshops to disseminate results, identify challenges, and foster interdisciplinary collaboration in this emerging area.
