The Midwest Research Computing and Data Consortium (MWRCD) was awarded a $999,998 Project Grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF) Office of Advanced Cyberinfrastructure under the Computer and Information Science and Engineering federal grant program (CFDA 47.070).
The MWRCD will deliver networking and professional development programs to cyberinfrastructure professionals in the Midwest region to strengthen regional collaboration, information sharing, and advocacy on important issues. Specific initiatives include a student fellows program, residencies, professional mentorship, and affinity groups. Materials will also be developed to help research computing and data professionals communicate more effectively with stakeholders. The goal is to empower cyberinfrastructure practitioners and achieve transformational outcomes through an inclusive, community-driven approach. The award period is from October 1, 2022 to September 30, 2027.
