The University of Notre Dame du Lac will receive $167,375 under a three-year Project Grant from the National Science Foundation Office of Advanced Cyberinfrastructure's Computer and Information Science and Engineering program (CFDA 47.070) to operate the FAIROS-HEP Research Coordination Network. FAIROS-HEP will foster the adoption of practices and cyberinfrastructure to enable reuse and reinterpretation of high energy physics datasets through living publications. Living publications make the scientific results, underlying data, and computational procedures permanently available for examination, reproduction, and reuse. Specifically, FAIROS-HEP will provide published likelihood functions and statistical models, analysis workflows compatible with the Reana reproducible research platform, and a recast interface allowing for kinematic reinterpretation. Preserving analyses will also streamline the process for experiments to modify existing analyses rather than starting from scratch. The grant period runs from October 1, 2022 to September 30, 2025.
