This Project Grant from the National Science Foundation's STEM Education program (CFDA 47.076) provides $100,000 to the University of Texas at El Paso to organize an Inclusion Alliance Community Workshop. The workshop aims to bring together representatives from the first three cohorts of NSF Inclusion Alliances to leverage collective knowledge on broadening participation in STEM. Over two days, virtually, the workshop will facilitate discussion of lessons learned and specific activities to accelerate change in diversifying the STEM workforce. It will further build on synergy from a 2021 convening. The University of Texas at El Paso will select representatives inclusive of emergent leaders to gain an overview of each Alliance's goals and how they relate. The funding will support organizing the workshop agenda and guiding questions, as well as presenters including external evaluators and thought leaders experienced in large STEM projects. The workshop delivers a platform to advance the NSF's vision of a STEM enterprise inclusive of the nation's population.
