The United States Department of Agriculture Forest Service awarded a $600,000 Project Grant to the United States Endowment For Forestry And Communities, Inc. under the Cooperative Forestry Assistance federal grant program (CFDA #10.664).
The two-year award, issued on September 20, 2021 and set to be completed by August 31, 2023, will support the organization's efforts to advance forest resources management and conservation on nonfederal rural lands. Specifically, the Endowment will use the funding to assist in activities such as developing genetically improved tree seeds and seedlings, as well as producing and distributing tree seeds and seedlings, in order to promote sustainable forest management across the United States.
