The American Institutes For Research In The Behavioral Sciences (AIR) was awarded a $500,000 Project Grant from the National Science Foundation Division of Undergraduate Education under the STEM Education program (CFDA 47.076).
The three-year grant will fund AIR's project "IMPROVING UNDERGRADUATES? MOTIVATION AND RETENTION IN STEM THROUGH CLASSROOM INTERVENTIONS: A META-ANALYSIS" from July 2021 through June 2024. Through meta-analysis of existing research, AIR will identify effective classroom interventions for improving student motivation and retention in science, technology, engineering and mathematics undergraduate programs. Insights gained from this work will help advance the National Science Foundation's goal of ensuring the vitality of the nation's STEM education enterprise under the STEM Education program.
