The Pennsylvania State University received a $300,000 Project Grant award from the National Science Foundation Division of Mathematical Sciences on July 1, 2021 to fund the MATHEMATICAL QUESTIONS IN KINETIC THEORY project through June 30, 2024.
Under this award, Penn State will conduct research into major problems confronting the Nation in mathematical and physical sciences, as part of the National Science Foundation's Mathematical and Physical Sciences program (CFDA 47.049). Specifically, the University will promote progress in these fields by increasing scientific knowledge and enhancing understanding of mathematical questions in kinetic theory over the three-year period of performance. The funding will support Penn State's work to strengthen the Nation's scientific enterprise through this research project.
