ENVIRONMENTAL STAFF WILL FOCUS ON TECHNICAL TRAINING AND BUILDING MANAGEMENT CAPACITY, WITH THE GOAL OF ACHIEVING PROGRAMMATIC GROWTH TO MAINTAIN MEANINGFUL PARTICIPATION IN EPA PROGRAMS. KEY AREAS OF FOCUS INCLUDE INCLUDES CLIMATE CHANGE ADAPTATION, CONTINUING TO GATHER BASELINE DATA ON HABS, OCEAN ACIDIFICATION, AND WATER QUALITY, AS WELL AS SOLID WASTE ACTIVITIES. ACTIVITIES:THE ORGANIZED VILLAGE OF KASAAN WILL ATTEND GAP CALLS AND MEETING. THEY WILL ALSO PARTICIPATE IN THE SOUTHEAST TRIBAL ENVIRONMENTAL CONFERENCE. IN ADDITION, THEY WILL ATTEND TRAININGS ON PHYTOPLANKTON MONITORING, INVASIVE GREEN CRAB MONITORING, AND CLIMATE CHANGE ADAPTATION. WEEKLY BASELINE DATA WILL BE COLLECTED, AND TOXIN ANALYSIS CONDUCTED, WITH THE RESULTING DATE ENTERED INTO THE SEATT DATABASE. FURTHERMORE, AN ELECTRONICS RECYCLING BACKHAUL WITH TAKE PLACE. .SUBRECIPIENT:NO SUBAWARDS ARE INCLUDED IN THIS ASSISTANCE AGREEMENT.OUTCOMES:THE RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE CREATING NEWSLETTERS, NOTES, AGENDAS, AND SUMMARIES OF EVENTS.
