The Department of Education Office of Elementary and Secondary Education awarded the Iowa Department of Education a $5.988 million formula grant under the Student Support and Academic Enrichment Program (CFDA 84.424) for the period of September 15, 2022 through September 30, 2025.
The Stronger Connections Grant Program will provide funding to improve student academic achievement by increasing access to well-rounded education, improving school conditions, and improving the use of technology in Iowa schools. As the designated state education agency, the Iowa Department of Education will administer subawards under this program to local educational agencies across the state to support a variety of initiatives aimed at these student support and academic enrichment goals over the three year grant period.
