The Oregon Department of Education was awarded a $21.1 million Student Support and Academic Enrichment Formula Grant by the U.S. Department of Education's Office of Elementary and Secondary Education. The grant period runs from July 1, 2022 to September 30, 2023. Under the Student Support and Academic Enrichment Program (CFDA #84.424), the Oregon Department of Education will use this funding to improve student academic achievement by increasing access to well-rounded educational opportunities, improving school conditions for student learning, and improving the use of technology in schools. Specifically, the department will work to provide all Oregon students with access to a balanced curriculum including science, technology, engineering, math, civics and financial literacy. Funding will also support activities to foster safe, healthy, supportive and drug-free environments that promote student academic achievement.
