The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Public and Indian Housing Office has awarded a $438,871 Public Housing Operating Fund (CFDA 14.850) formula grant to the Dayton Metropolitan Housing Authority (doing business as Greater Dayton Premier Management). This grant, awarded on January 1, 2025, will provide operating subsidies to the housing authority to fund the day-to-day operational and maintenance expenses of their public housing projects through December 31, 2031. The grant funding will support a range of critical activities, including property management, routine and preventative maintenance, anti-crime and security initiatives, energy cost management, resident supportive services, and administrative expenses. This is expected to help the housing authority maintain services, increase occupancy, and leverage federal resources to provide decent, safe, and affordable rental housing for eligible low-income families, elderly individuals, and persons with disabilities in the Dayton, Ohio area.
