The Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians of Oregon (CTSI) was awarded a $135,000 Formula Grant from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) under the Homeland Security Grant Program (HSGP, CFDA #97.067) for the period of September 1, 2021 through August 31, 2024. The HSGP aims to prevent terrorism and improve national preparedness for threats and hazards through funding SLTT efforts. It can reasonably be inferred that CTSI will use this funding to support its work with the Siletz community in Oregon on emergency preparedness and homeland security initiatives during the award period, such as counterterrorism training, emergency planning and equipment, and related efforts.
