The grant, awarded on February 4, 2025, will be used by Seminole County, Florida to deliver the following services through February 3, 2027:

  1. Emergency shelter
  2. Rapid re-housing assistance, including up to 24 months of rental aid and financial support for move-in costs, for people currently experiencing homelessness
  3. Homelessness prevention services, including up to 24 months of rental and utility assistance, for individuals at risk of homelessness
  4. Outreach activities to meet urgent needs for unsheltered individuals

The RUSH program is designed to fill gaps in federal disaster assistance and provide communities with resources to deliver long-term housing solutions for people experiencing pre-disaster homelessness as well as prevent long-term homelessness among newly displaced individuals.
