Under this grant, the New Mexico Department of Health will deliver evidence-based sexual health education programs that address abstinence and contraception for the prevention of teen pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections. The funded programs must incorporate medically accurate, age-appropriate curricula and include instruction on at least three of six adulthood preparation topics: adolescent development, healthy life skills, healthy relationships, parent-child communication, financial literacy, and career and educational success.
