The Oregon Health Authority (OHA) has been awarded a $11,560,000 Formula Grant under the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF) program, CFDA 66.468, administered by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The purpose of this grant is to capitalize OHA's DWSRF program to address emerging contaminants in drinking water, with a focus on projects addressing per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). Key activities under this grant include initial sampling, installation of granular activated carbon filtration, ion exchange resins, and high-pressure membranes, as well as development of new water sources and system interconnections/consolidations. OHA may also use a portion of the funding for set-aside activities such as providing technical assistance to small water systems, program administration, and other allowable uses under the Safe Drinking Water Act. The award period is from July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2027.
