The Institute of International Education Inc. (IIE) will conduct the Survey of International Educational Exchange Activity in the United States (Open Doors) program through a $535,850 cooperative agreement with the Department of State Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs.
Under this agreement, IIE will administer the Open Doors survey and report for the Academic Exchange Programs - Educational Advising and Student Services program (CFDA 19.432). Open Doors has collected data on international academic mobility in the U.S. for over 60 years. Through this funding, IIE will continue to survey U.S. colleges and universities to gather comprehensive information on international students and scholars and U.S. students who study abroad. Key deliverables include an annual report on international academic mobility trends and web-based resources making Open Doors data publicly available. This continues important work to increase mutual understanding between Americans and global citizens, as authorized by the Fulbright-Hays Act.
