The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Administration for Children and Families awarded a $212,953 Child Care and Development Block Grant (CFDA 93.575) to the Ho-Chunk Nation of Wisconsin. This 3-year grant, with a period of performance from October 1, 2025 to September 30, 2028, will support the tribe's efforts to provide affordable, high-quality child care services for low-income families in Wisconsin. As a federally recognized tribal government, the Ho-Chunk Nation utilizes federal grant funding to deliver a range of social services, including child welfare, early childhood education, and community development programs. This Child Care and Development Block Grant award will enable the tribe to continue its work to improve access to affordable, quality child care while strengthening its broader infrastructure for supporting young children and their families.
