S2 Corporation has been awarded a definitive cost-plus-fixed-fee contract valued at $34.4 million by the Air Force Research Laboratory to deliver a 40 GHz instantaneous wideband spectrum monitoring system. The contract was awarded under Phase III of the Small Business Innovation Research program and will see S2 build, test, deliver and provide support for the monitoring system over a performance period of just under 10 years through November 2030. As the prime, S2 will perform the majority of the work in Bozeman, Montana with the Air Force Research Laboratory as the funding agency. The spectrum monitoring system will support the laboratory's research efforts, allowing real-time surveillance of wide radio frequency bands.
